The Activator Methods
A Gentle Approach to Chiropractic Care
Activator Adjusting Instrument
The Activator Method chiropractic technique uses a spring-loaded, hand-held mechanical instrument called the Activator adjusting instrument. A specific protocol is performed to determine spinal imbalances. The activator instrument is then used to adjust the bone with a quick, low-force impulse / thrust.

Gentle, Low-Force Approach
The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique is a gentle, low-force approach to chiropractic care. This unique technique can help restore your spinal balance safely and comfortably.
Quick and Comfortable
The applied force is localized and does not put the joint in any compromised positions, such as bending or twisting. This allows for a quick and comfortable adjustment.
Precise and Accurate
Adjustments with the Activator are so quick and measured, the body's muscles are less likely to resist. This allows for a more precise and accurate adjustment.
Well-Known Approach
Because of its effectiveness and gentle nature, the Activator Method has grown to be the world's most widely used instrument adjusting technique.
What to expect at your visit:
During a typical Activator adjustment, the patient will be faced down on the adjusting table. Typically, Dr. Bunkers will work starting at the low back and move his way up the spine.

A series of protocols will be performed to detect spinal joint dysfunction, analyze leg length inequality, identify issues with the body's mechanics, and test neurological reflexes.

The Activator is then placed on the tissue near or on the affected joint and will adjust the bone with a fast thrust. Dr. Bunkers will continue to perform these adjustments throughout the spine and focused extremities.

After the adjustment, the patient is then assessed for improvement related to the injury or complaint. A care plan will then be discussed to suit each patients individual needs.
